Bit of a debate going on over whether an 'ad' (if you can call it that) about domestic violence, featuring Keira Knightley, should be shown on TV. The censors said it was too violent, but what's the point of showing a sanitised version? It's meant to be shocking. And that's what I told the Independent. I definatly agree that a non-shocking version would be pointless, yet at the same time an advert is banned because it implies "if you drink our product, you can tell your wife she has a big bum".

Absolutely no way it should be banned, same as the child abuse ones.
Yes they're shocking and sometimes upsetting to watch, but that's the whole point of it. Domestic violence is a shocking subject. If it's banned, and not talked about, how on earth is that going to help anything?
