Prince Charles*

Prince Charles' charity gives illegal donation to Tory women. An alternative headline could be 'Tories take illegal donation from Prince Charles' charity and misuse House of Commons facilities while they're at it'. But that's too much to expect.

Prince Charles has of course just been voted the world's best dressed man by Esquire magazine. Ronnie Corbett came second - because of the jumpers. I think this falls into the category of 'how can we make sure this survey gets a lot of media attention?' and the answer wasn't giving it to the obvious person, (Mr Obama, as if you need to ask).

*I'm suffering from a singular lack of inspiration when it comes to blog titles. Time for the return of song titles, I think.

Do you want to know how much of our money Labour gives to fake charities?

I like the way Lord Custardson gave £300,000 of taxpayers money to Stonewall, the militant gay charity

Following on from OH, and of particular significance to this blog due to recent posts is The Fairtrade Foundation, who are a registered charity (reg. number 1043886) but yet are apparently deserving of £107,903 of taxpayer's money via the DFID, as well as £78,132 of EU funding. I've submitted this to fakecharities.org but it has not been added yet.

Not as bad as some of the other entrants on fakecharities.org but still enough that their "worthiness" as a cause has dwindled in my estimation.

Song Titles "Prince charming"?

Surely the Charity Commission exists to check out if a charity is fake (checked to see if mine was listed- not). Many charities recieve money from the state - national and Local and have done for decades this does not make them state subsidiaries (although some companies limited by guarantee with charitable objectives are actually quangoes).

Not surprised that the Prince of Wales is giving moeny to the party of priviledge.

True, but it means that when the government calls on them to do a consultation to support a law they want to introduce (as they regularly do), the consultation is hardly, well, objective.

My charity has been involved in sonsultations and we have never felt we have to follow a particular line other than our own. As a charity you lose respect if you are seen in the pocket of Government and are not taken seriously by others, and of course the others could become the next Government!!
