Soul man

I promised the Blogger I'd come back with inside info on what's on the listening list of our candidate in St George West (that would be Kevin the friendly firefighter, folks).

I said if I didn't come back, it would mean the answer was Celine Dion. The Lib Dems have probably printed up the leaflets already.

Anyway, finally got round to carrying out a spotcheck and today's CD collection was Tears for Fears, Travis, and Motown. And yes, I was right, he is a Northern Soul man too. So I'd say a 6 out of 10 for Kevin.

Well? I shall be long retired before my pension recovers from this. As if the annual robbery from pension funds is not baed enough.

I voted Labour from my first vote in 1970 until Iraq. Never ever again.

Thanks Gordon, you lying toad.

I guess you are complaining about the rebuilding of schools, hospitals, health centres, social housing....

Gordon Brown has to take a share of the blame for where we are economically and environmentally.
How much more energy secure has Gordon Brown (and Tony Blair) made us over the last ten/eleven yrs? We are as dependent on imports as ever! Labour could have been making the UK a highly energy efficient and renewable society - then we would all be less vulnerable to the high fuel prices that are a key feature of the current recession.

What a wasted opportunity...and the PFI rebuilding is a can of worms and will look very sorry for itself in a couple of decades. Short term political expediency comes to mind. Having said that the schools are in very much better shape in terms of physical resources, just a shame about the future...

I am going to - briefly - break my rule about not responsing to comments which are completely unrelated to the main post, as I've been too busy to blog this week.

Maintenance is built into the Skanska contract for the BSF schools - it's an ongoing obligation throughout the term of the PFI deal. As such they're in a better position than other schools.

Might catch up on some of the other issues on the train back to Bristol tonight. Or after the by-election!

Attempts to promote the virtues of large, off-balance sheet, long term credit arrangements like PFI seems a bit of a bonkers thing to be doing at present.

So let's return to the point of this thread: Tears for Fears are from Bath, which says it all really.

Sowing the sodding seeds of love? Excuse me as I've got to go and vomit now ...

He got the 6 out of 10 for the Motown, and for the fact that Travis and Tears for Fears are inoffensive, I'd say. I wouldn't turn the radio off.

So he lost then.

I think the broadcasting of his ownership of a Travis CD got out

Tony Potter looks like he listens to Toad the Wet Sprocket. I don't think that was it.
