As I walked through Members' Lobby today after the 4pm vote I ran into a blushing Nick Clegg, who was being 'congratulated' by everyone who passed on his frankness in his recent GQ interview - http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2008/apr/01/nickclegg.pressandpublishing. And I see that Michael White has started calling him Nick CleggOver...

As my researcher has just pointed out to me - Nick was very lucky to have got out of doing PMQs today, with the PM being away. But I suspect it will still be remembered long after we return from recess!
By all accounts Harman did well today. So that was lucky as well.
But if one party leader is absent from PMQs aren't all other party leaders excused as well? Isn't what they call HoC protocol? Or something?
Or did your researcher forget to point that out?
Another recess? VSO again? Or Tuscany?
Re first comment from Whitby Bridge - are you deliberately misunderstanding what I'm saying? Nick Clegg he didn't have to do PMQs this week because Gordon was away. That's what I said. I wasn't accusing him of chickening out - I said he was lucky.
Re second comment - Svalbard for 3 days, Auschwitz for 1 (with local school pupils), and the rest of the fortnight in Bristol. Make of that what you will.
