In the ongoing saga of the sad fate of Wilbur the cat who fell into the clutches of a neighbouring python, here are the first pictures of Squash. Interesting bunch of people who comment on the BEP website....

Considering that you said in your post on 9th August…
I don't see the issue as being what happened to Wilbur in Squash's own garden...
…it’s interesting to note that you've not failed to miss an opportunity, since, to highlight the; "sad fate of Wilbur the cat."
This increasingly seems to be more about the understandable, but irrational, fear of snakes rather than the actual facts.
No-one…ever…in the UK has ever been killed by a python despite that some escape or are abandoned each year. Compared to attacks by dogs they are one of the safest pets to have.
Lets face it, the reality is, snakes are kind of slithering, creepy-looking things who are never going to win an; 'ahhhhh isn't it cute?’ competition with a (killer) cat.
And that’s what this is really about.
Of course it was sad what happened to Wilbur, but the underlying issue is not what happened in the snake's own garden but what could happen if the snake escaped. And I'm not scared of snakes.
Not afraid of snakes?
Perhaps we should arrange a photocall for you and squash ...
Not scared of Squash. His owner might be a different matter!
