Oh God, that twisted old queen.

I thought you were supposed to working late, not reading that shite.

I really, really hope this isn't a case of Speaker Martin passing the buck...

PS. In the poll you are running, can we have a vote for

"nothing, we don't believe in banning free speech"

Anonymous said...

And following on from the last comment:

If you must ban, then you could also add "New Labour" to your poll, as - take it from me....

They would be run away winners.

Period!!

So MP's now want protection do they, but the rest of us can get our computers seized, offices raided etc etc

Mr Quick who headed this operation is the Home Secretary's favourite copper, she is always quoting him.

Nobody but nobody believes that Brown,Smith and Martin did not know what exactly what was going down here.

We now know where this latest idea of 'civilian protection service' came from. The guy you campaigned for, Barack Obama

Regardless, "the buck stops here". Will you call for his head on the basis of incompetence in office? The man could not organise an alcohol fuel orgy in a brewery.

timbone said...

Slightly off topic, but someone mentioned the poll. Will someone please explain where Zanu comes from, what does Zanulab mean?

Hacked Off said...

Yeah, right, that's 100% believable then. Not like "Kneepads" White isn't so far up Gordon's arse all you can see is the soles of his shoes. In fact, Sir Michael can almost reach Nick Robinson's toenails!

I think 'Zanu Labour' is a comparrison that people with little intelligence make between New Labour and Zanu PF. While it has a certain linguistic likeness I wouldn't read too much into it

Old Holborn said...

Well, you could look at the similarities between ZanuLabour and ZanuPF HERE

LDN said...

You could - but as usual Old Holborn's ridiculous and facile arguments are not worth reading

Northern Lights:

The key points in the image are actually Guido's (note the picture in the middle of the image). Please explain where these points are incorrect, as I can't see it.

= Unelected head of government =
Yes, I know the public don't choose their leader they choose the party is always the excuse rolled out, but the point is the PARTY didn't elect Gordon Brown, it was a deal done between him and Tony Blair. All other credible leadership bids to replace Blair were blocked.

= Accuses Political opponents of undermining economy =
Many examples of this, a recent one is accusing George Osborne of "talking down the pound".

= Arrests Opposition Politicians =
As has happened with Damian Green. I suspect more will come.

= Blames wrecked economy on foreign countries =
Happens on practically a daily basis

= Economic Plan: Print more money, Nationalisation =
True.

Pray tell why the above is "ridiculous".

don't believe a single word that's printed in the Guardian after all the rubbish they've spouted on tobacco, health and class in the past.

Sorry --- but like the BBC, I think the Guardian is the Govt mouthpiece.

From the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe

"As Monetary Authorities, we have been humbled and have taken heart in the realization that some leading Central Banks, including those in the USA and the UK, are now not just talking of, but also actually implementing flexible and pragmatic central bank support programmes where these are deemed necessary in their National interests.

That is precisely the path that we began over 4 years ago in pursuit of our own national interest and we have not wavered on that critical path despite the untold misunderstanding, vilification and demonization we have endured from across the political divide.

....leading central banks in the global economy are bailing out troubled economic sectors to achieve macroeconomic and financial stability....the Bank of England... providing a £50 billion lifeline to the UK’s banking sector.

Here in Zimbabwe we had our near-bank failures a few years ago and we responded by providing the affected Banks with the Troubled Bank Fund (TBF) for which we were heavily criticized even by some multi-lateral institutions who today are silent when the Central Banks of UK and USA are going the same way and doing the same thing under very similar circumstances thereby continuing the unfortunate hypocrisy that what’s good for goose is not good for the gander....

As Monetary Authorities, we commend those of our peers, the world over, who have now seen the light on the need for the adoption of flexible and practical interventions and support to key sectors of the economy when faced with unusual circumstances."

Kind of makes sense of the comparison. Refute that, then Northern Lights Out?

Refute that, then Northern Lights Out?

He won't bother. Same as he won't bother refuting my points.

Far easier to just score a quick brownie point with Kerry by slagging OH off.

If Bristol Dave needs me to point out to him how Gordon Brown and Robert Mugabe are not the same then it's a sad state of affairs

Hacked Off said...

You're right, Northern Blight, Mugabe has been elected.

Oh, and he's dark skinned.

But apart from that, not much at all.

Grow up Penguin - Conservative voters aren't being butchered and murdered for their political beliefs - I'm all for a bit of banter but that's just offensive

Kerry, no chance of actually seeing the Baby P report is there?

Or are we plebs too thick to understand it?

Odyssey said...

Good to see Old Holborn hard at work again. Do your consultancy clients know how much time you spend on this blog? Are you sure you're value for money for them?

Give the independent inspectors a chance! They've only just written the report. I'm sure they'll release it in time. Surely informing the outraged public through the media is their top priority right now.

Odyssey said...

Turns out Department for Children Schools and families are more efficient than I thought.

Report is already up!

Good enough for you Old Holborn?

Old Holborn said...

Oddyssey

No, that is not the report. Those are old documents

Try again.

Are you talking about a different report?

Also, old documents:

Your definition of old is interesting.

Where's Kerry?

timbone said...

OK, showing my ignorance here, which means that any future comments I make will be met with, 'o don't take any notice of him, he didn't even know what ZanuPF was' - so, can someone please tell me what ZanuPF is? (I looked at the link to your site OH, and I think I am getting warmer).

force12 said...

timbone. It's Mugabe's party in that paradise called Zimbabwe.

Is Kerry sweeping for bugs at work? I would because you can bet they bug some of their own too.

Seen the Mail article re. ID bullshit?

Seen the Mail article re. ID bullshit?

Big brother police to get power to stop you in the street to demand ID... refuse and you'll face jail

No one should be surprised by this. No matter how much the Government swear they won't misuse the ID scheme, Gordon Brown can even tattoo the promise on his backside... but, abuse it they will.

Despite the overwealming evidence that the scheme will not achieve any of its stated goals; the Government persists on forcing it upon us! You just have to wonder why they are so keen?

Would be interesting to learn Kerry's take on this proposed state-sponsored intimidation.

Tim: In the late 1970s there were two parties hoping to take over from Ian Smith, ZanuPF led by Mugabe and ZAPU PF led by Joshua Nkomo. They also come from different tribes and only united to bring about black majority rule. Mugabe's tribe was more numerous and were elected in 1982.

Mugabe's (whose tribe are Xhona)first decision was to send troops to Matabeleland and commit genocide on Nkomo's tribe (Ndebeles), 20,000 were butchered. Concentration camps were set up and people systematically shot.

Lord Carrington the Tory Foreign Secretary turned a blind.

It seems Africa has major cultural problems with good government and economic prosperity. Europeans made up 4-5 % of Zimbabwe but there was in 1982 90% literacy, it produced a surplus of food which fed most of southern Africa and a universal health care system. I won't make any further comments as Kerry will be reaching for her red pen.

Old Holborn's blog gets some good posts, this is quite pernicious. An Islamic group based in the UK have a meeting in Southall, their website is below. Guest speakers include:

How Britain can become Great - Anjem Choudary, Judge of the Shari'ah Court of the UK

and

The Role of the Muslims in the UK -Abu Uzair, Lecturer at the London School of Shari'ah

Kerry are Shai'ah courts legal in this country?

Well EQG (together with Al_BaaBeeba) is saying that the speaker did know.

How are you Kerry? It's been too long.....

Kerry, I wonder if you could send some stormtroopers over to this guy's place.

Such blatant racist stereotyping should not be allowed.
